My name is Wren Bailey. I’m a social-emotional development specialist with nearly two decades of experience in childcare.
I found social-emotional development (SED) early on in my career and quickly adopted it as an effective behavior management tool in my nanny homes and preschool classrooms. As I began to learn more about SED and practice from it more thoroughly, however, I learned its uses beyond behavior management. I discovered that SED held the power to transform and strengthen adult-child relationships.
As a young professional whose income depended on functional relationships with many children, I was hooked.
As time went on, I came to merge what I learned through years of childcare experience with what I was learning about SED. The merging of these two ideas eventually resulted in the birth of Mindful Childcare: a system of child discipline and behavior management I created which wins cooperation, deepens the adult-child bond, and grants ease to the adult-child relationship.
Since 2017, I’ve been using Mindful Childcare and my SED expertise to support children, their parents & their schools; because I believe to strengthen adult-child relationships is to offer strength to all human relationships. And I believe to strengthen all human relationships is to bring well-being to all people.
For me, Mindful Childcare is so much more than a series of strategies to manage children’s behavior; it’s an offering of love to humankind.
If you have children in your life, please check out my blogs and my upcoming events to learn more about strong and healthy adult-child relationships.
If you are looking for guidance and support in managing behavior in your home or classroom, please reach out to me for a session and we’ll chat about realistic ways to make things easier.
Whatever your circumstances, I hope you find something to support you, here.
& Above all things, I wish you well.
